Community Involvement 

 

Oakwood has been involved in the business and IT community in the Midwest for over twenty-five years.

Project Management Institute (PMI) - Oakwood team members were among the founders of the Project Management Institute's St. Louis Chapter and remain active members today.  Oakwood frequently provides speakers for the St. Louis, Nashville, and Mid-Missouri PMI chapter meetings.  Twenty-five per cent of Oakwood's delivery team have their certification as Project Management Professionals (PMP).

St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association (RCGA) - Oakwood has been a member of the St. Louis RCGA since 1982, and has won numerous awards through various RCGA programs. 

Microsoft Project Association - St. Louis Regional Chapter - Oakwood founded this group in 2006 as the St. Louis Area Project Users Group.  In October 2006, the group chartered as an official chapter of the MPA, with members of the user community leading the chapter.  Oakwood continues to be a resource and advisor to the group, frequently providing speakers and meeting sponsorship.

Mid-Tennessee Project Users Group - This group was founded by Oakwood in 2006, and has grown to approximately forty members across mid-Tennessee.  The group has a goal of becoming an official MPA chapter in 2008.
