Professional Involvement 

 

Oakwood has been involved in the business and IT community in the Midwest for nearly thirty years.

Project Management Institute (PMI) - Oakwood team members were among the founders of the Project Management Institute's St. Louis Chapter and remain active members today.  Oakwood frequently provides speakers for the St. Louis, Nashville, and Mid-Missouri PMI chapter meetings.  Twenty-five per cent of Oakwood's delivery team have their certification as Project Management Professionals (PMP).

St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association (RCGA) - Oakwood has been a member of the St. Louis RCGA since 1982, and over the years has won numerous awards through various RCGA programs. 

Microsoft Project Users Group - St. Louis Regional Chapter - Oakwood founded this group in 2006 as the St. Louis Area Project Users Group.  In October 2006, the group chartered as an official chapter of the MPUG (formerly Microsoft Project Association, or MPA), with members of the user community leading the chapter.  Oakwood continues to be a resource and advisor to the group, frequently providing speakers and meeting sponsorship.

IT Service Management Forum - itSMF USA, a chapter of itSMF International, is a member-driven organization with Local Interest Groups in over forty metropolitan areas in the US.  Originally based on the ITIL framework, the group has now expanded to cover and discuss other Service Management frameworks.  Oakwood is a proud participant in itSMF USA.
