Utility Provider Turns to Oakwood for Exchange Migration Rescue

Business Challenge
When a major Missouri utility provider had a vendor go bankrupt midway through its e-mail migration project, they needed a fast response from a reliable, stable partner. A partially complete migration had left people hanging with no reliable e-mail services.  Since e-mail had become critical to day-to-day operations, the situation had to be rectified immediately, and this organization had to be assured that the partner they engaged could and would get the job done.

Solution and Benefit
Oakwood assessed the situation and found that the project was approximately 20% complete, there was no documentation, and there had been no knowledge transfer to client personnel.  An immediate re-assessment of the project scope was done, and Oakwood’s team of engineers began the process of migrating approximately 500 mailboxes from GroupWise to Microsoft Exchange.  Oakwood provided engineers and a project manager to ensure the project was completed, documented, on budget, and on time.
