Session 1: PowerView and the Semantic Model, Maria Stanley, Oakwood Systems Group, Inc.
Maria will present on the semantic model and how it is used by the new BI reporting tool PowerView. These are two new pieces of the Microsoft BI stack in SQL Server 2012 (or Denali). The Semantic model is a way to package the database information in a way that makes sense to business users. PowerView is a new reporting tool that provides advanced visualization, including animated charts. Both of these advance provided powerful reporting with a minimum of technical overhead.
