Two client success stories detailing how Oakwood has leveraged Bamboo Web Parts for SharePoint have been selected to be featured in “SharePoint at Work – Stories from the Field,” which will be released by Bamboo Solutions at the upcoming Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 19-22.
The first success story discusses how a real estate development firm is utilizing Bamboo’s Task Master, Calendar Plus, and List Rollup web parts as part of a firm-wide automated project management initiative. With the aid of the Bamboo web parts and some custom SharePoint development, the firm has a project management solution, built in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, that fits all of their needs while being very cost effective.
The second profiled case study illustrates how a financial services institution is utilizing the Bamboo List Rollup web part along with MOSS 2007 to speed the approval of credit packages. The List Rollup web part provides a consolidated view of all approval tasks assigned to a particular user.
According to Doug Neff, Oakwood’s Vice President of Business Application Solutions and BI, “Using Bamboo Web Parts wherever possible allows us to save our clients money, shorten the development time of a project, and provide a great result with good ROI.” Oakwood has been partnered with Bamboo Solutions for two years, and has leveraged Bamboo Web Parts into more than two dozen client solutions.
Oakwood has implemented MOSS 2007 for many clients, solving a variety of business challenges, including custom dashboards, engineering change order management, HR process management, communications portals, IT department portals, vendor portals, and more.
